EULEX condemns today’s senseless attack against a young man and a boy in Štrpce/Shtërpcë and wish them a speedy recovery. Our thoughts are with their families and the local community. At the same time, we commend the @Kosovo_Police for reacting swiftly and arresting a suspect.

Majka povređenog u jučerašnjem incidentu u selu Drajkovce kod Štrpca Zorica Stojanović je izjavila da prema informacijama koje ima osumnjičena osoba za ranjavanje njenog sina Stefana Stojanovića nije pucala na njih već da se metak od asfalta odbio (rikošetirao) i da je ranio u rame njenog sina.

U njemu [saopštenju tužilaštva] se navodi da postoji osnovana sumnja da je A. K. juče oko 14.00 časova, u selu Gotovuša, opština Štrpce, sa namerom pokušao da liši života M. S. i S. S.
Kako navode, on je, posle verbalne rasprave koja se dogodila na licu mesta, izvadio revolver marke „Mossberg”, dva puta pucao i pritom pogodio M. S i S. S.
„Povređeni su zadobili telesne povrede, prvo su upućeni u Dom zdravlja u Štrpcu, a zatim u bolnicu u Gračanici“, navodi se u saopštenju.
Usled ovih radnji osumnjičeni se tereti za krivično delo „teško ubistvo u pokušaju“.

"On Friday afternoon, my protégé together with his friend were traveling to Brezovica and suddenly in a certain place, they were blocked by a crowd of people who were celebrating and were suddenly attacked with vehicles," said Ferati [Naim Ferati, the lawyer of the KSF soldier Azem Kurtaj].
In order to remove the danger, Ferati says, that Kurtaj shot once in the air and once towards the asphalt.
His lawyer says that Kurtaj did not know that two people were injured, which he realized after reaching Prevalle.
"Based on the danger, the same person tried to leave but was blocked by the crowd and in self-defense in order to displace or remove the danger, he fired once with his weapon that he had in his possession, his personal weapon . He fired once in the air to disperse the crowd. Due to the circumstances and the attack he suffered in those moments, he was forced to fire once again towards the ground, this time towards the asphalt, and in those moments he managed to leave the place, without having information that someone could hurt life. He went to Prevalle, and from social networks he realized that someone might have been hurt", he declared.
"From this it is clearly understood that my client had no intention to shoot or injure any citizen, but the whole event was developed in self-defense. This assessment of the defense is also confirmed by the mother of the injured 11-year-old, Mrs. Zorica Stojanovic, in the statement presented to the media in Serbian language, said that "she did not shoot at them, but on the asphalt", said Ferati.

U saopštenju Suda se navodi da je sudija za prethodni postupak Odeljenja za teška krivična dela ocenio da postoji sumnja da je Azem Kurtaj u Gotovuši kod Štrpca namerno pokušao da ubije Stefana i Miloša Stojanovića.
"Kada je svojim automobilom stigao na ulaz u selo, primetio je neke građane na kraju puta i da bi ih oterao, zatrubio je. Ne mogavši dalje, zaustavio je auto i nakon verbalne svađe izvadio je revolver i dva puta pucao nanevši telesne povrede dečaku i mladiću. Oni su prvo upućeni u Dom zdravlja u Štrpcu, a potom u bolnicu u Gračanici", navodi se u saopštenju Suda.

U saopštenju tužilaštva koje prenosi Gaztea Express, navodi se da postoji osnovana sumnja da je A. K. juče oko 14:00, u selu Gotovuša, opština Štrpce, sa namerom pokušao da liši života M. S. i S. S. (...)
Treće krivično delo koje se stavlja na teret A. K. je izazivanje opšte opasnosti.
Iz tužilaštva navode da postoji osnovana sumnja da je A. K. istog dana, u 13:00 u Brezovici, doveo u veliku opasnost živote ljudi upotrebom oružja.
„On je svojim automobilom marke ‘golf V’, usled nemogućnosti da uđe na put koji vodi ka Ski centru, pošto je bila gužva, skrenuo ka Štrpcu i iz revolvera marke ‘mossberg’ pucao pet puta u vazduh“, naglašava tužilaštvo, prenosi Kossev.
