Music superstar David Bowie’s prediction he would rise again has been seemingly validated by reports he planned the release of several posthumous albums.
A source purportedly close to Bowie has claimed the late musician planned a “long list of unscheduled musical releases” prior to his death on January 10, Newsweek reports.
While it is unknown whether these releases will contain previously unreleased work, the music reportedly has been compiled according to “eras”, with the first of such compilations expected to hit stores before the close of 2017.

In the mid-1970s, fueled by his rampant cocaine habit, Bowie went as far as saying in several interviews how "Britain is ready for a fascist leader… I think Britain could benefit from a fascist leader.… I believe very strongly in fascism, people have always responded with greater efficiency under a regimental leadership…Adolf Hitler was one of the first rock stars…You've got to have an extreme right front come up and sweep everything off its feet and tidy everything up." This culminated in the infamous 'wave', interpreted as Nazi salute, at Victoria Station in 1976.
Bowie was targeted by anti-fascist organisations such as Rock Against Racism. He also attracted the attention and sympathy of the National Front, who in an article called "White European Dance Music," suggested that "Perhaps the anticommunist backlash and the aspirations towards heroism by the futurist movement, has much to do with the imagery employed by the big daddy of futurism, David Bowie." This 'futurism' was never quite as straightforwardly fascist, but it is worth remembering, given that we are used to seeing punks and post-punks as leftist. In fact, late 1970s bands in the UK especially, coming from the dispossessed, growingly deindustralised areas, could often, like Joy Division's Ian Curtis, become reactionary. The new disillusioned, often Tory-voting generation felt they owed nothing to the welfare state or post-war social-democratic reforms, adapted a weird self-made man ideology indebted to Bowie, and associated rebellion with forbidden symbols - at the same time as fascism was reemerging in the UK in the form of large votes for the National Front.

If there's any concept here, it's that the brain-numbing catchiness of pop music was fascism in disguise, keeping teenyboppers docile while selling them rebellion, hence the cover art of a gestapo-uniformed Dick Clark holding a carrot.

Ponekad postoji ta neodređenost (a, ako iko, Bowie je voleo neodređenost), ali zaista nikad meni lično nije palo na pamet da doslovno interpretiram njegov "fašizam" (koliko ni naziv benda Joy Division). Čak i vrlo inteligentni ljudi tu mogu da se zbune, kao John Oliver u vezi Laibach nedavno. Moglo bi se po toj logici zaključiti da Nick Cave na Murder Ballads podržava umorstva i kriminal (ili Tarantino, u svakom filmu). To je umetničko poigravanje sa onim što nas uzbuđuje, to je ono što je erotika za seks, a ne pornografija.
