There are 28 hard-Brexit MPs – who have dubbed themselves “the Spartans” and who voted against May on Friday – but there are also 10 DUP MPs – and a further six Conservative MPs who support a second referendum.
If she somehow got all of them onside May would have 323 MPs – a bare majority, when 320 are needed to win. But they are groups with disparate interests and it would take only a handful of holdouts to kill off May’s chances.
The alternative would be for more opposition MPs to switch sides, but only five Labour MPs and two former Labour MPs have done so (plus a former LibDem). But May has failed to offer would-be defectors anything credible so far.

Sledeci plan je da ga stavi vs najpopularnije od ostalih opcija. S tim sto to onda nije zakon, koji mora ponovo i sam za sebe da se izglasa. Sto se nece desiti ako pobedi njen deal.

The remain-supporting Conservative MP, Dominic Grieve, is facing deselection by his party after losing a confidence vote held by his local association by 182 to 131 votes.
The Conservative association in his Beaconsfield constituency said it no longer had confidence in the former attorney general after he put his case to members at a meeting on Friday.
He remains MP for the Buckinghamshire seat for the time being, but a meeting will soon be convened to discuss his future.
Grieve has been at the forefront of efforts to ensure that parliament has a significant influence over how Brexit is managed, with the prime minister struggling to force her deal through the Commons.
He is also a prominent remainer, has called for a second referendum and addressed a pro-EU rally attended by an estimated 1 million people in Westminster last weekend.

The local campaign against Grieve was led by the man who stood as the Ukip candidate for Beaconsfield in 2017. The Times reported that Jon Conway, a pantomime producer, had been recruited by the Conservatives after serving as a regional organiser for Vote Leave.
“I took the decision to fight City Hall from within and resigned as Ukip chairman to join the Tory party a year ago,” Conway reportedly told local members. Grieve acknowledged his rival’s past allegiances last week.

Torygraph na naslovnoj strani piše da bi snap elections bili annihilation za torijevce. Stoga očigledno neće biti izbora i ide se u No Deal Brexit.

E sad, zanimljivo je to da ista agencija veli da ako na izborima bude učestvovao ChUK, ide ovako: Lab 32%, Con 31%, ChUK 9%, LDem 7%, UKIP 7%.

Problem je to što su Cons zločinačko udruženje kojem ništa nije bitnije od vlasti. Jedini spas za UK je da poneko od njihovih poslanika pokaže da ima makar malo obraza i kičme.

Theresa May will be warned today that her government faces total collapse unless she passes her Brexit deal — as the prime minister’s aides were at loggerheads over whether to accept a soft Brexit or call a general election this week.
In an emergency conference call last night Brexiteer cabinet ministers agreed they would resign if May accepted a customs union or got Tory MPs to vote for the UK to take part in European elections in May. They will deliver their threat when the prime minister consults her cabinet today.
More than half her Commons party, 170 MPs and ministers, have signed a letter telling May to pursue a no-deal departure from the EU rather than accept a soft Brexit.

Pa da je moguće biti u carinskoj uniji i bliskim odnosima sa SM a da nema granica, onda ne bi bilo granice za robu između Bugarske i Turske. Alternativno, još veći jednorog je da i oni misle da se mogu razdvajati "4 slobode".
Gledano čisto sebično sa stanovišta EU - Francuzi jesu u pravu što ih teraju napolje. Jer, recimo dođu Laburisti na vlast i onda krenu - a jel bi moglo ovo, ali ne i ovo? I sad, jbg, to nisu ERG-ijevci, postoji mnogo manje zle krvi, ali, opet, moraju da kažu ne, inače tako mogu svi. Itd, itsl.
Hopes that Labour might support the common market 2.0 plan faded on Sunday after Emily Thornberry, the shadow foreign secretary, said it was Labour’s policy to be close to the single market, but not in it.
“Our reservation about being in the single market is that we would have to accept things as they currently are in relation to immigration,” said Thornberry.
