Tacerkin selout dolazi na naplatu - u drugim velikim evropskim drzavama taj balans stranog i domaceg odavno postoji i relativno dobro funkcionise.
Ovde ce engleski nacionalisti jesti korenje i razbice Britaniju u paramparcad ako ih neko ne spreci.
Njih nazivaju pogresno - to nisu hard right torijevci ili Brexiteri nego engleski nacionalisti koje treba sukobiti sa Britancima i britanskim Evropljanima.

Btw. svaki imperijalizam pocinje sa nekim core nacionalizmom - naravno to ide samo uz dominaciju nad Skotima i Velsanima. Tako da to i nije nesto novo sto engleski nacionalisti hoce - vracaju se negde u vreme Edvarda Longsenksa.

Pa dobro, ali to je neuporedivo. Ali sve i da jeste, to je ono sto hoce Tory elita. Ordinary Brexitase zabole za sve to, Skotska moze sutra da se otcepi. Ili bilo ko drugi.

Mislim, jos jedan, i to ne mali, problem sa Brexitom je sto tu ima mnogo mnogo "laznih zastava", ne u klasicnom smislu nego ima previse ljudi na javnoj sceni, na obe strane, koji uopste ne govore ni blizu onoga sto su im pravi motivi (ne mislim tu na nekakvo licno bogacenje ili licni politicki interes, to na stranu). To je jedna ideoloska borba u okviru borbe za identitet u okviru borbe za definisanje mesta u svetu u okviru partijskih bitaka. Nerazmrsiv cvor.

All Johnson has to do is to hold vote on QS on 19th and include in that authority to exit on 31 October and repeal Benn Act. Opposition MPs then have choice to either vote for QS and enable no deal and repeal Benn Act or vote it down and as it will be a confidence issue there will be an election after 14 days. Johnson is under no constitutional requirement to resign( it is merely convention) or recommend anyone else to HMQ as PM and can just sit it out until 14 days have expired triggering an election

(Reuters) - France could discuss giving London an extension on its deadline for leaving the European Union if there was a political shift in Britain allowing a different type of dialogue on Brexit, a French government minister said on Wednesday.

"On the extension, France has said the same thing for more than six months", State Secretary for European Affairs Amelie de Montchalin said at a parliamentary hearing.

"If there are new (British) elections or a new referendum, if there is a political shift leading us to believe we could have a different dialogue from the one we have today, then an extension can be discussed", she said.

"But adding more and more time in the exact same conditions would not give us much hope that something different would happen", Montchalin said.

Boris Johnson and Leo Varadkar have agreed they can see a “pathway to a possible Brexit deal” but warned there were still challenges ahead if an agreement was to be struck at next week’s EU summit.
The prime minister hosted his Irish counterpart for a private encounter at a country house in Wirral in the north-west of England, which they described as a “detailed and constructive discussion”.
“Both continue to believe that a deal is in everybody’s interest. They agreed that they could see a pathway to a possible deal,” a statement said.

My guess je da je Boris pristao na carinsku konrolu u Irskom moru, faktički ostavljajući S.Irsku u Carinskoj uniji (možda i Single Marketu) do nekakvog "rešenja". I da ide na to da 30-40 Laburista progura to u Parlamentu pošto će DUP sigurno biti protiv (kao i jedan broj Torijevaca).

Boris Johnson and Emmanuel Macron have just spoken. Elysee official says: "We cannot say at this hour if we will be capable of having an agreement or not."

France wants the state of Brexit talks to be clear BEFORE summit - rather than using event to hammer out agreement.

France once again being cited as country most likely to veto a delay - effectively helping Boris Johnson to deliver on his "do or die" Brexit pledge.

Michel Barnier has set Boris Johnson a midnight deadline to concede to EU demands and agree to a customs border in the Irish Sea or be left with nothing to take to the Commons.

According to sources, the EU’s chief negotiator told ministers that, as it stood, there was no prospect of a deal being signed off by leaders at a summit on Thursday, before a special sitting of the UK parliament on Saturday.

Legal text had yet to be tabled by the British negotiators, Barnier told ministers in Luxembourg. He advised the EU capitals he would announce on Wednesday whether negotiations on an agreement would have to continue into next week.

Barnier warned that the starting point for a deal had to be the Northern Ireland-only backstop, keeping it in the EU’s single market for goods and erecting a customs border in the Irish Sea, a proposal previously rejected by Theresa May.

After the meeting, Belgium’s deputy prime minister, Didier Reynders, told reporters: “If we have an agreement tonight it will be possible to go to the [European] council and then again to the British parliament. But it’s not easy, we have some red lines, they are well known by all the partners. I’m hoping it will be possible today to make some progress.”

A draft text of the agreement could now be published on Wednesday if Downing Street gives the final green-light, according to senior EU and British sources.
It is understood that the negotiating teams have agreed in principle that there will be a customs border down the Irish Sea. The arrangement was rejected by Theresa May as a deal that no British prime minister could accept.
Johnson will still have to win over parliament – including the Democratic Unionist party (DUP) and the hardline Tory Brexiters, the European Research Group – on the basis that, under the deal, Northern Ireland will still legally be within the UK’s customs territory.
“Northern Ireland would de jure be in the UK’s customs territory but de facto in the European Union’s,” one diplomatic source said of the tentative agreement.
