Više od 47.000 ljudi poginulo je u zemljotresima koji su pogodili Tursku 6. februara, izjavio je danas turski predsjednik Redžep Tajip Erdogan.
On je tokom govora u predsjedničkoj palati u Ankari rekao da je spaseno više od 115.000 ljudi.
– Kao rezultat zemljotresa, koji su se osjetili na velikoj površini, poginulo je više od 47.000 naših ljudi. Spašeno je više od 115.000 – istakao je Erdogan.
Prema ranijim podacima, broj stradalih zajedno sa Sirijom premašio je 51.000.
Govorio je o zadatim ciljevima u regijama pogođenim razornim zemljotresima.
“Cilj nam je za godinu izgraditi i oštećenim predati 319.000 domova, uključujući 244.000 stanova i 75.000 kuća“, rekao je Erdogan, te dodao:
“Odlučni smo korak po korak raditi dok ne stvorimo nove, sigurne i mirne životne prostore za naših 3,5 miliona ljudi.“

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was hospitalized after suffering a heart attack on April 26, 2023.
According to the statement issued by the presidency, Erdogan was taken to the hospital in critical condition and received treatment for myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced he was canceling a day of election campaigning on Wednesday to rest at home, a day after he was forced to briefly interrupt a television interview over a stomach complaint.

Erdogan was being interviewed live by Turkey’s Ulke TV and Kanal 7 stations late on Tuesday when the program was suddenly stopped. When the interview resumed around 20 minutes later, Erdogan, 69, explained that he had developed a serious “stomach flu” while campaigning and apologized for the interruption.

The president, who was scheduled to make a series of appearances in the cities of Kirikkale, Yozgat and Sivas on Wednesday, announced on Twitter that he would rest at home on the advice of his doctors and that Vice President Fuat Oktay would represent him at the events.

He would resume his duties on Thursday, he tweeted.
