i would like to talk here about The Last of Us on HBO... and yeah, yeah i know.. the world is burning but lets just all sit and talk about television. again - what else are we doing with ourselves ? we are not creating any militias. but my god we still have the content. appraising content is the american modus vivendi.. that's why we are here for. to absorb the content and then render some sort of a judgment on content. because there is a buried hope that if enough people have the right opinion about the content - the content will get better which will then flow to our structures and make the world a better place

Statements on Passing of Michael Collins
Astronaut Michael Collins, Apollo 11 command module pilot
Credits: NASA
The following is a statement from acting NASA Administrator Steve Jurczyk on the passing of Michael Collins:
“Today the nation lost a true pioneer and lifelong advocate for exploration in astronaut Michael Collins. As pilot of the Apollo 11 command module – some called him ‘the loneliest man in history’ – while his colleagues walked on the Moon for the first time, he helped our nation achieve a defining milestone. He also distinguished himself in the Gemini Program and as an Air Force pilot.
“Michael remained a tireless promoter of space. ‘Exploration is not a choice, really, it’s an imperative,’ he said. Intensely thoughtful about his experience in orbit, he added, ‘What would be worth recording is what kind of civilization we Earthlings created and whether or not we ventured out into other parts of the galaxy.’
“His own signature accomplishments, his writings about his experiences, and his leadership of the National Air and Space Museum helped gain wide exposure for the work of all the men and women who have helped our nation push itself to greatness in aviation and space. There is no doubt he inspired a new generation of scientists, engineers, test pilots, and astronauts.
“NASA mourns the loss of this accomplished pilot and astronaut, a friend of all who seek to push the envelope of human potential. Whether his work was behind the scenes or on full view, his legacy will always be as one of the leaders who took America's first steps into the cosmos. And his spirit will go with us as we venture toward farther horizons.”

A: I think it proves that the Arab woman has the capabilities and that they are able to represent the Arab world in different sectors and fields. I think that me being selected as the first Arab female astronaut will lead the way for other girls who are interested in the space field and will inspire them.

THE space age is upon us. Rockets are leaving our globe at
speeds unheard of only a few years ago, to orbit earth, moon, and
sun. People have visited the moon, we have sent space probes to
all but one of the planets, and words like "orbit" and "satellite" are
picked up by children in the nursery.

Blue Origin has confirmed the final crew-members for the upcoming NS-18 launch, with Star Trek actor William Shatner set to occupy one of the last two seats in the spacecraft. Shatner will join Blue Origin’s own Audrey Powers on NS-18, which is expected to launch later this month.

Re: Space, the final frontier
The first published data from the Perseverance rover shows that there was a large, deep lake on Mars 3.6 billion years ago, and that it was swept away by a climate upheaval.
as we suspected, Jezero crater, the site 35 kilometers in diameter where the rover landed in February 2021, welcomed a real lake several billion years ago.
The circular body of water covered an area 35 kilometres in diameter and was several tens of metres deep.
On top of that, Perseverance showed that, in the fluvial deposits at the top of the delta, large boulders and cobbles, over a metre wide, had been displaced. This can only happen when there is a very high river flow rate.
“This observation strongly suggests that there was an abrupt hydrological change, linked to a climate transition that heralded the disappearance of the lake," Mangold explains. "This could be explained by cooling due to a glacier or to increasingly arid conditions. In fact, on Earth, certain deserts undergo episodes of flash floods which appear and disappear in just a few hours."
