Even if I succeeded, I'd be facing a fight two days later, which doesn't make much sense to me.

I can't say they were mean to me. But I wasn't prepared for the way everything played out. I felt like I was in an action movie and I didn't feel comfortable at all.
Why is that?

Yes, it was. But I had it before Christmas, last minute. Plus I had some medical indications. So I met all the criteria set by the Australian Federation.
Did you experience any problems when you went through passport control in Melbourne?
They looked at my documents carefully everywhere, but they didn't make a fuss about it. The Federal Border Service let me in right away. I was only held up by Victoria state officials who sent my papers somewhere. But then they confirmed my entry without any problems.
Your case seems to have merged with the closely watched hunt for Djokovic. What do you think?
I don't know if I can say it outright. But I think it will. I don't understand why else they would come to me after a week and say, "Hey, what was valid is no longer valid."
How did the arrest go?
They came for me at the hotel.
What about you? They must have caught you by surprise.
They did. They really weren't being rude or vulgar. But some practices in quarantine are not pleasant. You have to report in, everything's rationed. I feel a little like I'm in prison.
How do you handle unexpected events?
It's been hard on the psyche. I felt the worst when they told me my visa would be cancelled. Even the lawyer who sat with me said I had all the necessary certificates in order.
So why don't you want to fight for your rights?
I have a certain view on the matter. I don't know if my presence would have made any difference. I hope Djokovic succeeds in court on Monday. But in my case, it would drag things out for a few more days. I don't want to waste my time with the political war going on behind the scenes. I think the feds have found a loophole in Victoria's protocol for Djokovic. Now his lawyers may find a loophole in the federal guidelines.
When are you going home?
It's not exactly easy. I don't know exactly how the travel process works. It's gonna take some time. You can't make a decision and drive to the airport in an hour. I'm waiting for clearance. Maybe Saturday.
Is the Czech embassy helping you?
All our officials are helping me. They also recommended a Czech lawyer, which made me realize that even after a week of waiting, I might not win the case.
What are the conditions at the Park Hotel? Some of the witnesses talked about bedbugs and moldy food.
I don't even know it's the Park Hotel. They brought me in early this morning. I'm in a room and I'm not allowed to go anywhere. The conditions are ordinary, the category of a better hostel. Not a tragedy, not a hit parade. I've been medically checked, they bring me food. There's an escort watching me in the corridor.
Are the guards strict?
They're fine. Not that they shout at me when I stick my head out the door. They're trying to be helpful. But, like, my window's shut tight and I can't open it five inches. And there's security guards everywhere - even under the window, which I found quite amusing. If they thought I was gonna jump and run... I don't know.
Do you see Djokovic's fans crowding around the hotel?
I don't have windows on the main street where they congregate, so I can't see them, just hear them. It was raining today. But as soon as it stops, they come. Singing, chanting. Even my name has come up. There are a lot of fans. They must be taking shifts. (laughs) Anyway, it's nice that Djokovic has such support from them.

BBC-jev novinar bio je prilično neprijatan i naglasio da stvari izgledaju kao da je u pitanju politička reakcija na stav javnosti povodom Đokovićevog dolaska dok je intervjuisao zamenika predsednika vlade Australije Barnabija Džojsa, koji je sve vreme sugerisao da je Đoković lažno popunio papire, tvrdio da je Đoković jedini koji može biti odgovoran za novonastalu situaciju i rekao da situacija nije neprijatna po pitanju australijskog ugleda (od 14:00).
