Australijanci su danas glasali "ne" na istorijskom referendumu na kojem je trebalo da odluče da li da se autohtoni Australijanci prvi put priznaju Ustavom i da se uvede njihovo savetodavno telo koje bi predlagalo mere koje se tiču položaja starosedelačkih naroda Australije.
Od glasača je na referendumu traženo da odobre da Aboridžini i Ostrvljani Toresovog moreuza budu priznati u Ustavu i dobiju glas o pitanjima koja utiču na njihove živote.
Pristalice su navodile da bi starosedalački glas i njihovo unošenje u Ustav priznali posebno mesto starosedelačkih naroda u istoriji Australije i dali im mogućnost uticaja na politiku Vlade.
Protivnici tih mera su govorili da bi to podelilo Australijance po rasnim osnovama i da ne bi smanjilo neravnoravnost starosedelaca.
Australijska televizija ABC projektovala je danas da su tri australijske države glasale „ne“ što znači da je referendum propao jer je, pored ukupne većine glasova, potrebno da referendumsko pitanje podrže glasači u bar četiri od šest australijskih federalnih država.
Izostala je i nužna dvopartijska podrška koja se smatra neophodnom u Australiji da bi se uspešno izmenio Ustav, a i starosedelačke vođe su bile podeljene oko referenduske ideje.
Aboridžini u kopnenom delu Australije se kulturno razlikuju od ostrvljana Toresovog moreuza s arhipelaga kod severoistočne obale, te se starosedelačko stanovništvo Australije kolektivno identifikuje kao Aborižini i Ostrvljani Toresovog moreuza. Po australijskom birou za statistiku oni su 2021. godine činili 3,8 odsto australijskog stanovništva, što je bilo 23,2 odsto više nego pet godina ranije.
Autohtoni Australijanci su najneprivilegovanija etnička grupa u Australiji. Muškarci starosedeoci imaju očekivani životni vek od 71 godine, a žene 75 godina, što je 8,6 godina manje nego drugi australijski muškarci i 7,8 godina kraće nego druge australijske žene.
Aboridžini se ne pominju u Ustavu donetom još pre 122 godine, jer su ih britanski kolonijalni vladari zanemarili. Pravo glasa nisu imali sve do 1960-ih, a po društveno-ekonomskom pitanju su i dalje ispod proseka Australije.
Da je pobedila strana koja je bila „za“, Ustav bi bio revidiran i u njega bi bilo uneto da kaže da telo koje bi bilo nazvano „Glas starosedelaca“ može da podnosi predloge Parlamentu i Vladi o pitanjima koja se odnose na Aboridižine i Ostvljane Toresovog Moreuza, a Parlament bi zakone donosio u skladu s tim.

Until Sunday, Javier Milei’s disruptive message, including trading insults with his rivals from the pro-business Juntos por el Cambio coalition, was seen as his key asset. But Milei ended up almost seven percentage points behind Massa, showing that his break-it-all-down style has hit a wall with voters who don’t completely buy into the radical changes he’s selling.
Milei admitted as much in his post-election speech, when he said he was “willing to do tabula rasa” and unite forces with Juntos — whose candidate placed third — to defeat Peronism. That would require toning down some of his rhetoric and more radical proposals to potentially negotiate a common agenda with the more conservative members of Juntos.
Milei’s lack of government experience will also come under the spotlight as the results signaled Argentines aren’t as willing to embrace the unknown as initially thought.
Martin Rapetti, executive director of Buenos Aires-based consulting firm Equilibra, said that a very important cohort of Juntos voters, as represented by candidate Patricia Bullrich, don’t want Massa to win, but that doesn’t mean that they’ll vote for Milei.
“What should be clear to markets is that Massa offers more governability than Milei, regardless of preference between candidates,” he said.

Problem sa ovim tipom je što je fin agregat kontramnjenja (uz neke engleske idiosinkrazije), ali ne dodaje ništa autentično svoje, novo u celu priču. Sve što kaže si već negde čuo/pročitao, i to bolje obrazloženo.

Ja mislim da je kolubarska bitka glupost i da bi svi trebali da izucavaju bitku na Vucjem Dopu, gde su Crni Orci razbili Crne Otomane sa 5 puta manjom vojskom, sa kremenjacama protiv repetirki, bez artiljerije protiv artiljerije, skupljeni s koca i konopca zajedno s Hercegovancima protiv turske regularne vojske, nanevsi im 6000 gubitaka dok su sami izgubili 72 coveka.
Posebno je human bio postupak nakon bitke gde se crnogorsko-hercegovacka vojska rasula (Hercegovanci se razbegli kucama, Crni Orci pobegose natrag u Crnu Oru) umesto da na krilima navodne pobede kao sokolovi sivi udju u Bilecu, koju su dosli da oslobode i pred kojom su navodno pobili tolike Turke.

BUENOS AIRES, Nov 19 (Reuters) - Argentina elected right-wing libertarian Javier Milei as its new president on Sunday, rolling the dice on an outsider with radical views to fix an economy battered by triple-digit inflation, a looming recession and rising poverty.
Official results showed Milei with near 56% versus just over 44% for his rival, Peronist Economy Minister Sergio Massa, who conceded in a speech. The result once again caught pollsters off guard who had predicted a closer race.
In downtown Buenos Aires hundreds of Milei supporters honked horns and chanted his popular refrain against the political elite - "out with all of them" - as rock music played from speakers. Some people set off fireworks as excitement spread.
"We came to celebrate this historic triumph," said Efrain Viveros, a 21-year-old student from the province of Salta. "I'm honestly ecstatic. Milei represents change, for the better. With Massa we'd have had no future, our future has returned."
Massa in a speech said he had congratulated Milei and said the libertarian now needed to show his readiness to rule. "From tomorrow the responsibility of providing certainty belongs to Milei," he said.
Milei is pledging economic shock therapy. His plans include shutting the central bank, ditching the peso, and slashing spending, potentially painful reforms that resonated with voters angry at the economic malaise.
"Milei is the new thing, he's a bit of an unknown and it is a little scary, but it's time to turn over a new page," said 31-year-old restaurant worker Cristian as he voted on Sunday.
Milei's challenges are enormous. He will have to deal with the empty coffers of the government and central bank, a creaking $44 billion debt program with the International Monetary Fund, inflation nearing 150% and a dizzying array of capital controls.
Some Argentines had characterized the vote as a choice of the "lesser evil": fear of Milei's painful economic medicine versus anger at Massa and his Peronist party for an economic crisis that has left Argentina deeply in debt and unable to tap global credit markets.
Milei has been particularly popular among the young, who have grown up seeing their country lurch from one crisis to another.
"Perhaps not everything Milei says I agree with or can identify with but he is our future," said Irene Sosa, a 20-year-old student celebrating outside his election bunker. "Milei represents a future for young people like me, Massa was everything that is wrong with our country."
Milei's win shakes up Argentina's political landscape and economic roadmap, and could impact trade in grains, lithium and hydrocarbons. Milei has criticized China and Brazil, saying he won't deal with "communists," and favors stronger U.S. ties.
