i would like to talk here about The Last of Us on HBO... and yeah, yeah i know.. the world is burning but lets just all sit and talk about television. again - what else are we doing with ourselves ? we are not creating any militias. but my god we still have the content. appraising content is the american modus vivendi.. that's why we are here for. to absorb the content and then render some sort of a judgment on content. because there is a buried hope that if enough people have the right opinion about the content - the content will get better which will then flow to our structures and make the world a better place

Istražujući na netu nešto o gitarama sa 7 žica, naleteh prvo na priču o ruskim 7-žičnim gitarama (možda sam i kačio Sergeja Orehova ranije, ima na jutjubu, prezime mu je transkribovano kao Orekhov.)
Posle sasvim nevezano naletim na priču o brazilskoj muzici zvanoj šaru (charo), koja se eto svira takođe na 7-žičanoj gitari flamenco tipa. I tu onda čujem za jednog od sada mojih favorita, Jamandu Kostu (takođe na YT, ima svoj kanal https://www.youtube.com/user/yamandutube).
Sad nađem na ovaj dokumentarac o "ruskom nasleđu", gde Jamandu putuje u Rusiju u pohodu da otkrije "veze" između 2 tradicije 7-žičanih gitara (usput, gitare nisu iste, a ni štim nije isti... bilo mi je baš zabavno kad Jamandu dohvati rusku gitaru i odmah krenu da je preštimuje na "brazilski", što je u stvari ovaj standardni štim, plus 7-a žica koja je B ili C.)

ovaj lik je moj novi idol. samo sto mi je sudan - kao manje vise proper arapska kultura - ipak muzicki i kultioloski manje interesantan od ovih cadsko-nigersko-severnonigerijskih tribalnih recent convertsa pa znam da necu da dig in-ujem ne znam koliko duboko u materiju, ali prica je ludilo. lik koji vodi blog je neki upper middle class amerikanac bez ikakvih veza sa sudanom (ne zna arapski, nikad nije putovao u sudan, nema korene u sudanu, etc) koji je razvio opsesiju sa sudanskom muzikom i sad ide po US-u i ganja sudansku emigraciju za kasete. i to nije dovoljno nego od svih ovih butleg kaseta koje je pokupovao tokom vremena od ljudi je uzeo da pravi fejk tribute kasetna izdanja koja kaci na YT-u. a svi videoi su mu ludilo. kakav car od coveka

Sudanese music blog - An English language survey of Sudanese music
The mission of this blog is to build an international audience for Sudanese music. How to do this? At first I focused on simply making the music available to people who don’t speak Arabic by translating artist’s names and uploading their music to archive.org
Then I started uploading music to YouTube. Then I started to organize the MP3s into “bootleg tapes” accompanied by “cover art.” I theorized that people in America and Europe were more accustomed to listening to music as ‘albums” and that creating that experience would draw more first-time listeners.
Now I’ve started to experiment with creating music videos. Will this draw more first-time listeners to Sudanese music? Maybe not, but they are fun music videos to create!

graničan slučaj ali nemam gde a da ne otvaram novu temu
da li postoji neki izvor za DL za old school reggae? recimo otkrivam lika koji se zove dadawah odnosno ras michael i tražim da skinem njegov peace and love album, ali to ne postoji na ruskim torentima na primer a ni na gusarskom fjordu.
kapiram da bi neki soulseek možda to odradio ali to mi je van dometa dok se ne registrujem ponovo (zašto ne sutra? pa probaću)...

mislim da sem totalnih roots aficionadosa niko nije znao za dadawah
imam ortaka koji je isao da radi u kingston (fotograf) i vratio sam sa temeljno promenjenim mozgom i gomilom retkih vinila ali ni on nije cuo za ovog
ja sam tjun iskopao u nekom skorašnjem miksu nicolasa jaara u kome je ovaj izvukao refren i kombinovao kroz efekte sa nekim drone ambientom

ja nisam neki roots ljubitelj - sa ostrva najvise pratim 1970s singjay->1980s dancehall-> 1990s raga liniju razvitka - ali ovo je bas dobro i bas bizarno
