Radmilo Janković: Na početku smo novog talasa, postali smo zemlja koja je na začelju po broju imunizovanih

​​​​​​​Zamenik direktora UKC Niš, prof. dr Radmilo Janković, kaže za RTS da su lekari potpuno saglasni da smo na početku novog talasa. Poražavajuća je informacija da smo od lidera u regionu, čak i od jednog od lidera u Evropi, postali zemlja koja je na začelju po broju imunizovanih i to će ispostaviti svoju cenu u septembru, a ja verujem i ranije već polovinom avgusta, poručuje Janković.
Doktor Radmilo Janković kaže da to da smo na početku novog talasa sasvim jasno pokazuju brojke koje označavaju broj prvih pregleda i da taj broj na jugu polako raste.
"Ono što brine sve nas koji smo vodili kovid sistem ovde na jugu, koji je bilo pod ubedljivo najjačim udarom, jeste kako sačekati taj talas i kako dati precizne informacije i objašnjenja ljudima od kojih očekujemo pomoć kako bismo taj talas dočekali što je moguće spremije", kaže Janković.
Što se tiče mera, smatra da nije realno očekivati pooštravanje mera i neku veću disciplinu.
"Leto je, ljudi su željni normalnog života, da žive slobodno, većina njih je već na letovanjima. Ono što je problematično je da se većina njih bez ikakve kontrole vraća u Srbiju", dodaje Janković.
Naglasio je da već ima naznaka da se dosta njih, a među njima ima i dece sa ekskurzija, vraćaju zaraženi.

"Ne postoji apsolutno nikakva šansa da će nas novi talas zaobići"

Na pitanje može li struka da traži uvođenje obavezne vakcinacije, Janković kaže da ozbiljno treba da se radi na imunizaciji.
"Možda je preteška reč i poražavajuća informacija da smo od lidera u regionu, čak i od jednog od lidera u Evropi, postali zemlja koja je na začelju po broju imunizovanih što je apsolutno neprihvatljivo i to će ispostaviti svoju cenu u septembru, a ja verujem i ranije već polovinom avgusta", naveo je Janković.
Naglasio je da moramo sremni sačekati naredni talas koji će sigurno doći.
"Ne postoji apsolutno nikakva šansa da će nas on zaobići, moramo podići ukupan stepen imunizacije, motivisati pre svega mlade ljude", dodao je Janković.

"Pada efikasnost vakcina, treća doza važna"

Kaže da studije govore o tome da efikasnost vakcina pada kada je reč o sprečavanju zaražavanja, čak i najefikasnije "Fajzerove" vakcine.
"Efikasnost je i dalje na visokom nivou što se tiče sprečavanja hospitalizacije na jedinicama intenzivne nege i na mehaničkoj ventilaciji, ali ne može izgleda sprečiti u toliko efikasnom nivou zaražavanje", objasnio je Janković i dodao da je mnogo problematičnija situacija sa "Sinofarm" vakcinom.
Ukazao je da ljudi koji su se vakcinisali "Sinofarmovom" vakcinom, da su to uglavnom stariji sugrađani koji su se na početku imunizovali, kao i da efikasnost te vakcine pada.
"Moramo biti realni i reći ljudima, oni ne smeju dočekati septembar nespremni, jako je bitno da država što pre donese plan i za te ljude", kaže Janković.
Zbog toga, naglasio je, jako je važno objasniti tim ljudima zašto je bitno da prime treću dozu vakcine.
"Nema apsolutno nikakvog drugog izlaza iz svega ovoga sem podizanja imunizacije, a taj procenat koji je kod nas u opštoj populaciji čak ispod 40 odsto je loš, da ne kažem katastrofalan. Neće nam biti dobro u septembru", zaključio je Janković.

The Delta Variant Isn't Just Hyper-Contagious. It Also Grows More Rapidly Inside You


After months of data collection, scientists agree: The delta variant is the most contagious version of the coronavirus worldwide. It spreads about 225% faster than the original version of the virus, and it's currently dominating the outbreak in the United States.
A new study, published online Wednesday, sheds light on why. It finds that the variant grows more rapidly inside people's respiratory tracts and to much higher levels, researchers at the Guangdong Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported.
On average, people infected with the delta variant had about 1,000 times more copies of the virus in their respiratory tracts than those infected with the original strain of the coronavirus, the study reported.
In addition, after someone catches the delta variant, the person likely becomes infectious sooner. On average, it took about four days for the delta variant to reach detectable levels inside a person, compared with six days for the original coronavirus variant.
In the study, scientists analyzed COVID-19 patients involved in the first outbreak of the delta variant in mainland China, which occurred between May 21 and June 18 in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province. The researchers measured the levels of virus in 62 people involved in that outbreak and compared them with the levels in 63 patients infected in 2020 with an early version of the virus.
Their findings suggest that people who have contracted the delta variant are likely spreading the virus earlier in the course of their infection.
And the scientists underscore the importance of quarantining immediately for 14 days after coming into contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19, as the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends.
Or even better, getting fully vaccinated. Preliminary data shows that in some U.S. states, 99.5% of COVID-19 deaths in the past few months were among people who weren't vaccinated, the CDC's director, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, said Thursday at the White House.
"We know that the delta variant ... is currently surging in pockets of the country with low vaccination rates," Walensky said. "We also know that our authorized vaccines prevent severe disease, hospitalization and death from the delta variant."

French President Emmanuel Macron gave a televised address on Monday night as the Delta variant of Covid-19 surges in the country. He announced further measures to slow the spread of the more infectious variant and outlined plans to make vaccination compulsory for health workers.

Macron explained that the government was striving to achieve a 100 percent vaccination rate across the country.

Vaccination will become mandatory for all health workers. Macron urged them to be inoculated by September 15, after which they could face potential sanctions or fines. Vaccination is a "matter of individual responsibility [...] but also a matter of our freedom", the president added.

France's health minister Olivier Véran said that non-vaccinated health workers won't receive a salary nor be allowed to work after September 15.

He announced that a vaccination campaign for high school, secondary school and primary school students will begin when school starts again in September.

PCR tests will no longer be free of charge from the autumn, unless they are obtained with a prescription, Macron said. It is hoped the measure will drive up vaccination rates by encouraging people to get the vaccine rather than just repeated Covid-19 tests.

The rate of vaccination has slowed in the country: France has gone from an average of more than 400,000 injections a day at the end of May to about 165,000 injections per day currently. Around 40 percent of the population has received two doses of a Covid-19 vaccine, while 53.1 percent has received one dose.
