Iran je pustio iz zatvora 70 tisuća zatvorenika zbog epidemije korona virusa u zemlji, rekao je iranski ministar pravosuđa Ebrahim Raisi u ponedjeljak, objavio je Mizan, portal ministarstva pravosuđa.
"Puštanje zatvorenika, do točke koja ne stvara nesigurnost u društvu, nastavit će se", rekao je Rais

Raisi nije pojasnio hoće li se, i kada, pušteni vratiti u zatvor.
Teheran je u ponedjeljak objavio da su još 43 osobe umrle od korona virusa te je do sada u toj zemlji umrlo 237 osoba od izbijanja epidemije. Broj zaraženih porastao je na 7.161, objavilo je u ponedjeljak ministarstvo zdravstva.

Pokrajinski sekretar navodi i da je Srbija, kada se infekcija pojavila krajem decembra i početkom januara, uspela da zadrži deo maski i da snabde zdravstvene centre.

First-hand tips from Wuhan

Hellu friends! These are just some things off the top of my head that I thought would be helpful in case your city goes into lockdown. I wish things won’t ever get bad enough for you to come back here for reference but just in case they do, here are some things that might be helpful!



- Have a system in place

Work out a system, coordinate w your neighbours how everyone will get food/necessities when the quarantine begins. This might mean a couple of things

i) Have volunteers. These are the people who will coordinate/facilitate stuff so everyones needs will be met. For example, my grandfather is diabetic, but we can’t go to the chemist to get his meds. So, we take photos of his prescription, send them to one of the volunteers, who will then collate requests from other residents and visit the chemist to help get meds on everyones behalf.

ii) Organise pickups like the one in the video. You can see the volunteers have a list and they’re calling out numbers and the resident w the corresponding number comes forward to pick up his groceries. But this is just the final step. Every building has a representative, each household tells that rep how many people there are in their household. Rep reports to volunteers, volunteers collect food from vendors, pack them, assign numbers to package and residents, call around 10 residents down to collect at a time…

These are just some examples of what’s going on in my own neighbourhood. Don’t have to do what we do but point is, talk to your neighbours beforehand and come up w a system that works for you.

Also, be nice to volunteers and don’t request ridiculous stuff. They’re not your errand boy. They’ve given up their time to help so don’t be an ass. i.e. don’t haggle w the volunteers. They’re not the ones setting the price and if they tell you can only get 1kg of flour, don’t ask for 213g and start yelling at them when they tell you that’s not possible… Some people also requested for alcohol like bruh… we just trynna stay alive now so maybe get pissed after this blows over

- Plan for your pets!!!

i) Leave your precious cattos at the doggy daycare (but like for cats idk what it’s called) or at a friends even if you’re only going away for a weekend. They literally announced the lockdown one day before it kicked in so people who were away couldn’t possibly make it back in time to make appropriate arrangements for their pets. Thank goodness my friend left her cats at the daycare before she left wuhan cuz she still isn’t able to come back yet. Many people have already lost their cats it’s really sad.

ii) Don’t forget about stocking up for you pets! Food, cat litter, medication etcetc

- Leave your outerwear outside

i) If you really do have to go out, try to wear the same coat/shoes and don’t bring them back into the house. Or if you really have to, take them straight to the wash. On top of masks, people wear disposable rain ponchos, shoe covers, gloves. Take them off at the door and dispose of them properly before going into your house. Also, what my mum does is, she will call me to let me know she’ll be home in 5 mins, I’ll then take a new set of clothes and fresh towel for her and leave them in the bathroom. Once she’s home, she can go straight to the shower and wouldn’t need to walk around the house looking for a change of clothes and stuff.

- Don’t use cash

Cuz cash iz nasty!! Or at least try not to if possible. You don’t know who has touched it before. It’s easy in china since most people already use wechat pay/Alipay even in normal times. Also, on a similar note, make sure you have enough money in your bank account for bills. We pay for electricity/water/gas/internet thru their apps but if you don’t alr do that maybe set one up so they won’t be cut during the quarantine when you can’t physically go out to pay.

- Disinfect often (esp your phone!)

Even if you wash your hands every 5 mins if you never disinfect your phone, there’s really no point. If you’re just staying in it’s still not too bad you maybe get away w wiping down your phone w alcohol wipes every week or so but if you’re still out and about please disinfect your phone like everyday.

- Stay active

In the event that your city really goes into lockdown for an indefinite amount of time, try to stay active even if it’s just walking around the house. It’s a stressful time ngl and maybe you just want to stay in bed all day but you’ll feel much better if you actually did something I’m serious. I don’t think I have to go in depth about the benefits of exercise on your mental health I’m sure everyone knows so this is really just a reminder to please stay active. It’ll really help w the anxiety and stress. There are heaps of things to do like yoga and whatnot so just hop onto youtube and get moving!

Grand Princess cruise ship passengers are gearing up to begin the disembarking process Monday after 21 people aboard tested positive for coronavirus.

After passengers get off the ship, they will begin a 14-day quarantine at military bases, California Gov. Gavin Newsom said Sunday at a news conference.

The process of getting all 2,421 passengers off the vessel, routing them to their destination in a secure fashion and sending the Grand Princess back to sea with its crew of 1,113 is expected to take two or three days, illustrating the intricacy of the task, which is further complicated by the size of the ship.

The Grand Princess has been floating off the California coast since Thursday, waiting for authorities to grant it approval to dock as it returned from what was supposed to be a roundtrip from San Francisco to Hawaii.

At least six inmates died in prison riots across Italy triggered by emergency restrictions imposed amid the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak.

Inmates revolted on Sunday over rule changes, including the suspension of family visits, in jails including Modena, near Bologna, as well as Naples Poggioreale, Foggia and Palermo in the south of the country.

In Modena, fires were started and workers were taken hostage. Soldiers and Carabinieri had to surround the prison to prevent inmates escaping into the town. Three prisoners died.
