Theres 3 different archetypes of villains. There’s - “Evil, but not entirely wrong.” “Evil and irredeemable”. And “Force of nature”. There are the ones we kind of root for or sympathize with. Darth Vader, Thanos, Magneto, Caesar, T-1000, Walter White. They sometimes make good points, their motives may have started in good faith. There’s a humanity in them somewhere still.
Then there’s the force of nature. They’re not “bad” per se, but they’re villains. The Xenomorph, The Thing, Godzilla (most of the time), Galactus (most of the time). They’re not evil, they’re just harmful to us. We want to defeat them, but they aren’t seeking conquest or subjects, they’re not looking to rule or whatever. They’re mostly just trying to exist and we happen to stand in the way of it. I’d argue the closest to basketball this is in Jokic. Dude just wants to hoop and unfortunately there’s 29 other teams he doesn’t play for.
And then you have the actually bad guys. And honestly, there’s some heavy hitters here too. Dr Doom. Green Goblin. Hans Landa. Anton Chagurh. Hannibal Lecter. These are the guys who are evil to be evil. They’re down to the core bad. It feels bad rooting for them. Embiid falls squarely here.

Мени је Ембид готиван. Пре свега је превише добар кошаркаш да би био потпуни негативац. И Џордан и Кобе су били врло проблематични, па су легенде. If you’re not cheating you’re not trying hard enough - и то је пре свега тако због политике суђења у НБА а не због Ембида. И за разлику од нпр. Дрејмонда нисам га видео да баш намерно покуша да неког повреди. Што не значи да је безопасан по околину.

pa nije bas tako. prosle godine smo se smejali na njhovu ideju 'closest sweep-a ever' a ove godine smo mi u fazonu 'u jbt closest 4:1 ever'
u svakom slucaju nadam se da ce naredna serija nekako (ne znam kako ) biti malo vise finesse serija od ove, ubi me ovaj trench warfare sa lejkersima

mislim mozda i jeste, nisam ga skoro slusao ali jedina stvar koja je obviously bolja nego prosle godine je MPJ i to sa predpostavkom da ce nastaviti da igra na ovom nivou. hocu reci klupa je kraca i onda prva petorka mora da nosi vise tereta jer je alternativa da gledamo kako se u napadu desavaju neki bas random plays. jeste klupa defanzivno malo jaca, ali nismo ni na pola puta da zamenimo bruce brown-a.

odbrana je znacajno bolja nego prosle sezone. kos razlika je mnogo bolja nego prosle. cak i klupa misim ima bolje brojeve nego prosle. u ovoj seriji sa lejkersima 'problem' su bili starteri, i to sto su mari i jokic bili losiji nego prosle godine.

to mozda jeste tacno ali je out of context - nama se regularna sezona prosle godine zavrsila maltene u februaru. ne mogu da se setim koga smo dobili na kraju februara - da li kliperse ili boston - i posle toga smo manje vise no show-ovali ceo mart i april, igrai sa pola kurca, zajebavali se, cuvali zdravlje i nervirali malone-a jer nam se moglo tako (u sustini smo se se psihicki pripremali za PO). ima kontigent od jedno dobrih 15-20 utakmica koje kvare uzorak od prosle sezone.
a ove sezone sve suprotno od toga - jesenji deo jeziv, jokicu dune posle ASW-a da je pol pozicija ipak bitna i pocinjemo da se cimamo kao debili u martu, dodjemo nekako na 1. seed tri kola pred kraj, pa onda prodamo sve to sto smo zaradili i na kraju - sticajem okolnosti - ipak se redeem-ujemo minesotinim samoubistvom.

okej, ne moramo da koristimo brojeve iz prosle sezone (iako sam siguran da denver ni u februaru prosle godine nije imao top 8 odbranu ni 5.5 net rejting) ali kako je ova serija pokazatelj da denver nema pravo na gresku? 4-1 umesto 4-0, poslednja tekma na 1 posed u obe serije, a lejkersi smanjili razliku u produkciji zvezda drasticno (mari uzasan ove godine, ad se mnogo bolje nosio protiv jokica)
