i would like to talk here about The Last of Us on HBO... and yeah, yeah i know.. the world is burning but lets just all sit and talk about television. again - what else are we doing with ourselves ? we are not creating any militias. but my god we still have the content. appraising content is the american modus vivendi.. that's why we are here for. to absorb the content and then render some sort of a judgment on content. because there is a buried hope that if enough people have the right opinion about the content - the content will get better which will then flow to our structures and make the world a better place

Despite the fact that the Left has lost every major battle since the civil rights movement, the internal culture of American leftists remains curiously plagued by a delirious revolutionary triumphalism, accompanied by sunny denial. A sort of inverse of end-of-history fatalism, there is little consideration for the realistic limits of power and influence for American left-wingers in 2020. Compulsive magical thinking obscures any honest inventory of resources, strategies, timetables, mistakes, and failures — all the accounting necessary for a serious-minded political strategy. This is not an impossible obstacle, but organizers can no longer take for granted that activists have a definition of winning and losing that is recognizable to anyone outside of a left subculture, or even consistent within it.
The pages of #HashtagActivism are littered with celebratory plaudits for ineffectual online spectacles specifically because the authors are evading their own responsibility to establish the metrics for what constitutes a win or a loss. This is very convenient to them, for when the revolution never happens, they are able to rationalize their aimlessness by insisting that maybe the real revolution was the friends we made along the way. Of course, setting the standards for a win, a loss, or a draw is not the duty of a spontaneous, horizontalist protest collective, nor can it be offloaded onto some intellectual. It requires the sort of deft, coordinated mobility that only a formal organization can provide.

Па не, више као они мрз фајлови што чујеш у телефонским менијима, где је свака реч прочитана као да је прва у реченици. Тамо се то догађа зато што се тако и снима, реч по реч, а овде би се десило јер бих морао да алттабујем између језика на сваку трећу реч.

bio prfor kori robin kod kasparijanke na dzekobinu danas. prvo je isprico svoje iskustvo s nirom tanden. pa je reko da nece biti opasnijeg i sposobnijeg trampa 2.0. i da je desnica ispumpani balon. i razlog zasto pisem ovde je poslednje pitanje koje je naravno bilo o takeru karlsonu. ne podrzava odlaske u njegove emisije i misi da taker nije buducnost republikanaca.

the recaps and comment sections in the early internet websites is where people would go to find out what these people wanted. and then they made these shows the sopranos, mad men, etc. the person viewing it that they divined through all these recaps and the comments of recaps and then later twitter conversation when twitter comes into play, the viewer of that is a highly successful college educated urban professional - not someone running around doing gig economy jobs paying off million-gillion in student loans - but someone who can spend more on things like a streaming service or a cable channel. upper middle class professionals who work 9 to 5, come home, sit down and vape out with a good tv show... so you are talking about upper middle class professionals of the urban milieu and what did they create ? they created psychopaths. they created tony soprano, they created walter white and don draper, they created empty vessels of pure self-interest. because that is who they saw in the mirror. that is who they saw in the reflected, aggregated response to the shows. while people writing aren't the most professionally successful ones - they wouldn't be writing recaps if they were and they wouldn't be typing responses to recaps if they were - the people greenlighting stuff and making art in television can see past them to the richest version of them.
so the guys who created and wrote and directed the creative shape of those early prestige TV shows, the people they had in mind subconsciously is barfsack ocrumbo - the prestige television watcher-in-chief. and didn't it work ? barack obama would watch a show and say "i really liked that mad men" or "that david chase show the wire - it's very good'. so it guaranteed an audience. it guaranteed money in the bank. so they essentially conjured into being the guy that they had in mind; 2000s prestige TV was a gigantic black mass to summon this beelzebub into existence to rule over us
